One of the older wineries from outside of France, Anton Jermann founded Vinnaioli Jermann in 1881. Moving from the Austrian wine-growing region of Burgenland to Friuli Venezia Giulia, he began his journey into Italian wines.
The Jermann Estate has since gone from strength to strength, coming particularly into success in the 1970s, with Silvio Jermann using his imaginative flair to take the producer to the next level and produce wines which have become popular and critically acclaimed both in Italy but also further afield. Jermann wines have picked up a number of distinguished industry awards including the Three Glasses from the The Wines of Italy 2012 Guide for their Gambero Rosso and many other accolades in Italy and abroad. Today the estate has 150 hectares, 130 dedicated to wines and 20 for seeds and horticultural crops. At The Fine Wine Company we have selected a range of Vinnaioli Jermann wines to provide a taste of Italy, inspired by Austria.
