The beautiful wines produced by Vina Cobos have been created thanks to the shared dream of an American winemaker and two partners deeply rooted in the wine-producing cultures and traditions of Europe. They began with dreams of producing a stand out Malbec and have developed from this to produce a great number of stand out wines.
The 1999 Vina Cobos Malbec is renowned because it received the highest score on release of any Argentine wine. They now grow a wide range of different wines to the same quality from their Marchiori Vineyard and other chosen properties within the Mendoza region. Deep black garnet in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon meets the nose with aromas of blackcurrant and hints of cedar, dried herbs, Serrano ham and tobacco. The assertive entry displays blackberries and plums with undertones of cola and black tea. Firmly structured, and velvety through the mid-palate, it finishes with gripping tannins that suggest a wine of great age ability.
The coulor is deep red with violet hues. It has an intense spicy aroma of pepper, cloves, cinnamon and other spices, ripe black fruits and hints of roses. The palate is smooth with firm and chewy tannins. It is beautifully balanced with a persistent finishes.
Red fruit, cassis and smoke on the nose. Luscious plum, blackberry and mocha on the palate with hints of oak and leather. Bramare Malbec from Marchiori Vineyard exhibits a deep, dark violet hue. The nose is layered with aromas of blonde tobacco, ripe raspberries, cocoa powder and vanilla bean. An expansive, deeply structured palate reveals undertones of graphite, espresso and violets. Firm tannins are balanced wit acidity, creating a mouth-filling malbec of great finesse, which leaves a lasting impression.

The palate is extremely complex with caramel, cinnamon and spices combined with earthy notes, ink and touches of gunpowder. A sweet mouth feel and great minerality.
