Marcel Lapierre took over his family's wine domaine in 1973 and soon became one of the most recognisable producers in the whole Beaujolais region, if not the whole of France. Marcel Lapierre wines are mainly of the Morgon appellation and they utilise organic farming methods to produce yield after yield of high quality grapes for the finest wines.
Per year there are around 8000 cases of Marcel Lapierre wines and whilst Marcel himself produced his final vintage in 2010, the family tradition continues under his son Mathieu. The wines of the Marcel Lapierre vineyard are traditional, old wines which have naturally low yields and they work tirelessly to manually harvest as late as possible and rigorously sort the grapes for the finest selections only. The wines are aged in old Burgundy barrels and the wines are bottled unfiltered to be enjoyed by their many appreciators around the world. At the Fine Wine Company we have a selection of exceptional Marcel Lapierre wines for you to enjoy and appreciate.
