La Crotta di Vegneron is in the Aosta Valley region set against steep mountain slopes. The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate which offers higher than average temperatures and very little rainfall, ideal for grape growing. They produce 18 different types of wine sorted into four individual categories.
The wines produced by La Crotta di Vegneron fall into the following categories: varietal wines, terroir wines, selections, passito wines and sparkling wines. The company growns a combination of rare indigenous wines as well as better known international varietals including gamay and pinot noir. At The Fine Wine Company we have a range of wines from La Crotta di Vegneron for you to choose from.
Deep ruby red - violet colour. A fine bouquet, intense and persistent, spicy and floral with notes of vanilla, white pepper, cloves, red fruit and cherry. Dry, warm, soft and fresh with elegant tannin structure. Full bodied, well balanced and a long lasting finish
Golden yellow in colour, pleasantly contrasting aromas of honeysuckle and lemon rind radiate from the glass. Pink grapefruit and traces of orange zest comprised the light body. Lemon notes were joined by brine like minerals in the crisp finish. Simple yet quite charismatic, this is a light, zippy glass perfect on a summery day.
