Deep ruby red in colour, this wine has aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and strawberry, with an earthy minerality and hints of tobacco leaf and cedar. This is a medium bodied wine with fine, integrated tannins and long finish.
Light and pale in colour with a golden straw hue. On the nose, subtle aromas of citrus pith and white floral notes settle into layers of almond, dried pineapple and lanolin. The palate is restrained with a viscous, waxy mouthfeel and great natural acidity and freshness typical of old vine Chenin.
Magdalena is intense and well-integrated on the nose, with a layered bouquet of lime flower and almonds in the background. The palate has a delicious sweet and sour zestiness, which is balanced with a creamy, almost chalky finish.
2019 Rosebud is slightly drier than previous vintages and lighter in colour, made more in the Provenal style of Southern France. Flavours of papaya, rose and melon are apparent but not overpowering, with spicy red fruit in the background thanks to the Syrah component of the blend. Complex, but infinitely drinkable, Rosebud 2016 will delight and surprise.
This wine shows welcoming green melon and kiwi on the nose, evolving into herbaceous notes of nettle and lemon grass, and ending with a white floral bouquet. These aromas follow through on the palate, which is mouth filling and rich with great balance.
This blend has aromas of delicate violets and black fruit, with hints of vanilla and tobacco leaf from the time in barrel. It has fine velvety tannins and restrained power, balanced with bright acidity and a juicy palate.
