Craggy Range is a family owned winery in New Zealand. It was established in 1997 and is based on the single vineyard philosophy of winemaking. Australian businessman Terry Peabody is the man behind the winery and he made Craggy Range the first winery in the whole of the Southern Hemisphere to specialise in single vineyard wines from the most prestigious wine growing regions.
The family are devoted to their business and they are committed to creating a legacy for their wines and their winery. The Craggy Range portfolio incorporates different types of wine including their iconic Prestige and Family collections. Each wine is created with meticulous precision and they have become recognised for their creation of new world classic wines. The company has attracted many awards including the Air New Zealand Young Winemaker of the Year Award for Chief Winemaker Matt Stafford in 2007 and the New World Winery of the Year 2014 at the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards.
