Aragon

Aragon is a large wine region in the north east of Spain. There are more than 4 billion square feet of vineyards in the area, although not all are planted and there are four DOs in Aragon all producing a range of quality wines, both red and white. Like many traditional wine regions the grape varietals grown in Aragon are a mixture of indigenous grapes and newer international imports. Local grape Moristel is grown almost nowhere outside of Aragon and you will find it planted as well as more well-known varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha.
