Piedmonte

Piedmont is Italy’s most important and prestigious wine region and their red wines are light, fruity and burst with flavour. The red wines of Piedmont are usually made with the dolcetto grape which is described as similar to Beaujolais and Piedmont is famous for the production of both Barolo and Barbaresco which use the Nebbiolo grape.

The main grapes used in Piedmont produce young, fresh red wines which only have a little tannin and are designed to be drunk when young. At the Fine Wine Company we source a range of Piedmont red wines to suit a range of different palates and represent a range of styles.
