Cachapoal Valley

Cachapola Valley is home to some of Chile’s most important and prominent wineries. It is to the north of the Rapel Valley and sits between high mountainous areas, including the Andes. A temperate and Mediterranean like temperature ensures a protected climate for the area, with the cool of the Pacific Ocean kept at bay.

Cachapoal Valley is best known for its red wines but there are a good range of different varietals grown. Its most prominent vines are Cabernet Sauvignon although as you head towards the coast there is a larger growth and yield of Carmenere vines.
