Adelaide Hills

One of the most vibrant of Australia’s cool wine regions, the Adelaide Hills is home to over 90 wine labels and is acknowledged for the premium quality of its wines around the world. The region is located high in the Mount Lofty range east of the city of Adelaide and it is a long narrow region. Around 70km long, the region is one of the largest of Australia’s wine growing regions and it offers real diversity in terms of its climate and soil.

Adelaide Hills wines are cool due to the steep and rocky terrain. The majority of the wines in the region are made traditionally and by hand and cool, refreshing whites from Chardonnay to Pinot Gris and Riesling typify the region.
