Mendoza

Mendoza is the main winemaking province of Argentina producing more than 80% of all the country’s domestic wines across its 395,000 acres of vineyards. It is the New World home of the French grape Malbec and therefore Mendoza is known for its exceptional, highly concentrated and intense full-bodied red wines.

Mendoza offers a unique combination of high altitude terrain with a desert climate and low humidity, giving the grapes the protection they need to ripen and grow. The desert climate means 300 days of sunshine and natural irrigation is provided by glacial melt-waters. At the Fine Wine Company we source fine examples of Mendoza red wines to suit all budgets and tastes.
