We are thrilled to be able to present our superb collection of Spanish white wine and you will find a vast array of different options available.
Many of the wines are Rioja white wines. This is Spain's most famous and prolific region, but perhaps one which is most well known for its reds. However, it should not be overlooked that they also make some brilliant white wines as well. This is indicative of a wider theme in Spanish wine making. Once known predominantly for its reds, they are now making some serious movements in the white wine world.
Rioja Blanco
This should be of no surprise, as Spain's vineyards are in fact split up more or less 50/50 between producing red and white - and when you consider that Spain is home to around 13% of the world's vineyards, that means that there is likely to be some good white wine to be had. The white Rioja wines generally use Viura grapes, and these are often blended with Malvasía or Garnacha Blanca. This gives you an engaging combination of body and aroma. But it is not just Rioja that we have in this collection; there are also plenty of other gems.
Affordable and high end wines
There are some gorgeous whites here from regions such as Galicia, La Mancha, Andalucia, Carinena, Rueda and beyond. Not just in the Rioja territories, the white wine in Spain in general is often produced using grapes such as Albariño, Godello, Verdejo and Viura as well as more obscure varieties like Treixadura and Tempranillo Blanco. There are lots of white wines to be tried in this collection, from the more affordable to the more luxurious end of the spectrum.
