A perfectly balanced, generous, soft and expressive style of bottle-fermented English sparkling wine made from selected base wines over multiple vintages. Burnished copper in hue and with delightful panettone-like aromas of sweet baked bread, dried apricots, nuts and candied citrus peels courtesy of its 36 months on lees.
This stylish Bacchus delivers fresh aromas of elderflower, pear and white peach. Finely balanced with a crisp fresh palate offset by a round generous mouth-feel, the gentle minerality is matched with flavours of apricot, greengage and hints of passionfruit.
Stopham Estate's 2015 Pinot Blanc is a lovely pale lemon colour in the glass with fresh perfumes of pear. On the palate, pink grapefruit, melon and sweet fennel combine with a zippy acidity. Well balanced, the wine has a succulent sweetness which lasts well into the lengthy finish.
The Pinot Gris is off-dry and pale lemon in colour, with aromatic peach and pear fruit alongside the floral character on the nose. On the palate, it has excellent balance with crisp acidity. It is fairly full in body, with plenty of juicy fruit intensity, but is refreshing and long, with a lively citrus and stone fruit finish.
