Burgundy White Wines

A historic and highly respected wine region in the east of France, Burgundy's wines are well regarded around the world. Despite the actual growing area measuring a moderate 30,000 hectares, vineyards are still able to produce some of the world's most notable white wines.

The history of Burgundy wine goes back to when the monasteries played a key role in wine production across France. The most famous white wines produced in the Burgundy region make use of Chardonnay grapes. The whole region of Burgundy is classified strictly from carefully laid out Grand Cru vineyards to non-specific regional appellations allowing a wide range of wines to be produced, at varying qualities and therefore, to suit all budgets.
