Highly refined and precise, the 2015 vintage reflects splendid ripe appes at optimal maturity. The mouthfeel is impressively elegant and smooth. It is well-balanced with a touch of freshness and thus has exceptional ageing potential.
Currently extremely youthful with a dark ruby/purple colour, as well as a sweet nose of cassis and spring flowers. Although this wine will never be muscular or exceptionally concentrated, it overdelivers with a stylish, elegant, and well crafted harmony among its structural components.
A vintage in which we made fruit and finesse the priority. The nose, still a little buttery, expresses lovely notes of red fruit (redcurrants), dark fruit (blueberries), violets, and light tobacco. The palate is smooth and evolves with a fresh, refined texture. Very pleasant, fruity, full-bodied character. The finish is moderately long and elegant with notes of fresh fruit and vanilla.
This vintage offers a very subtle expression of finesse, elegance, freshness of fruit and a harmonious finish. On the nose, there are intense aromas of redcurrants, blueberries, lilac, violet and mineral notes. On the palate, there are hints of spice and light tobacco with smooth, silky tannins. It is a well-balanced and elegant wine, with a long and lingering finish.
Beautiful dark red colour with purple tints. The nose is very expressive, with intense aromas of cassis and blackberries, which are also noticeable in the mid-palate. Ample and round, the body is well structured with polished tannins and delicate layers of oak. Smoke, floral aromas and slight spicy notes rise after further airing of the wine
If you are looking for a masculine, powerful, concentrated, broodingly backward style of Margaux need look no further than the 2010 Kirwan. A dense opaque purple colour is accompanied by notes of graphite, liquorice, blackberry and cassis. Intense and concentrated with good acidity as well as a boatload of tannin, it should be forgotten for 7-10 years and drunk over the following three decades.
The wine was bottled at the end of June 2010, after 19 months of aging in barrels (including 45% new barrels). At this stage, it demonstrated an excellent aromatic complexity with a mlange of fruits black currents and ripe cherries and sweet spices, like vanilla. The attack is fresh, slightly minty, and smooth. The tannins appear progressively to give the wine body and support a long, slightl…
This Margaux 2011 offers a deep ruby-red colour and a bouquet delicately combining liquorice with roasted coffee notes and surprising hints of cassis bud. The tannins are fleshy and very full thanks to the slow extraction during the vatting process. The long, silky finish combines flavours of cassis (stemming from the dominant cabernet sauvignon) with slightly woody notes, revealing all the elegan…
Made with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot the wine is soft and silky with perfumed strawberry jam on the nose. Ripe plum and cream come through on the palate which has supple tannins and an attractive, lively red fruit finish. This elegant Margaux will be lovely to drink, share and enjoy over the next decade
