Deep rich red in colour, the nose is very perfumed with aromas of blackberry, violets, cassis and graphite combined with fine mocha-coffee notes from the use of French oak. The palate is structured and elegant with ripe cassis fruit and a fine tannin finish.

The wine is quite low in oak, with just a smidge of vanillin showing faintly on the mid palate, but otherwise the brambly, blackcurrant flavours demand all the attention.
