Vermouth is one of many aperitif and digestif drinks which is both sweet and intense, ensuring you have a wonderful end to a meal or a special occasion. At The Fine Wine Company we offer a selection of styles of vermouth, with light-bodied and fuller-bodied offerings, all fitting the very specific requirements of a vermouth. Vermouth is an aromatised fortified wine which is made by mixing botanicals with wine which has had spirits added to it as well.
Vermouth can be found in a range of different types and can be sweet or dry, dependent on the producer's preferences and it usually has an alcohol content of around 15 to 20%. Vermouth can be red, white or rose and is closely related to other aperitif and digestif products such as bitter. Recognisable brands known in the Vermouth category include Martini, Campari and Pimms and there are Vermouth products produced in many countries, although it was first created in Turin in the 18th century. Botanicals of all kinds come together to create the unique flavour of each Vermouth and it may take some trial and error but you'll soon find one which satisfies your palate. Whether you drink it alone or enjoy it in a cocktail, we believe our range should have something to suit your needs.
