Ooh, looks like the Glen Scotia range has had a bit of a redesign! They've gone for quite a classic, refined design this time, and have even introduced a selection of new expressions, including the Glen Scotia Double Cask! This Campbeltown single malt is finished in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximnez Sherry casks.
A 2015 release from Glen Scotia's new (redesigned) range, Victoriana is made with whisky drawn from casks specially selected by their master blender, finished in heavily charred oak casks and bottled at 51.5% ABV.
A no-age-statement release from Longrow. One of the three whiskies distilled at Springbank distillery, Longrow is generally peaty in comparison to its siblings. A well-balanced whisky with some slightly medicinal notes.
"Our 10-year-old offers whisky drinkers the perfect introduction to the Springbank range. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, it is perfectly balanced from the first sip through to the full, rich finish. Nose: Orchard fruit (pear) with a hint of peat, vanilla and malt. Palate: Malt, oak, spice, nutmeg and cinnamon, vanilla essence. Finish: Sweet, with a lingering salty tingle."
