Here we have the 1881 London Dry Hydro Gin, produced at the Peebles Hydro! With 12 botanicals, hawthorn, birch, fir and citrus are at the core of this one (alongside juniper, of course), so it's a rather leafy tipple. Before bottling, it's blended with water from the distillery's private spring in Peebles. Don't forget a wedge of grapefruit when you have this one in a G&T.
A spiced, rich 16 year old Speyside single malt, 'double matured' in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks. A great Aberlour. Nose: Creamy and delectable, in true Aberlour style. Palate: The sherry and oak are in good harmony. The toasty bourbon notes are harnessed well, the vanilla spices are nicely ingrained in the barley. Finish: Soft and smooth, with waxy honey notes and a barley sweetness. Overall…
The undiluted Honjozo Akashi-Tai is a satisfyingly full-bodied sake. This is the drink the brew masters reach for at the end of a working day. This is perhaps the most direct way to savour the full palate of our sake. The flavour continues to mellow pleasingly over time.
Light burgundy red, with violet nuances. An attractive nose of soft berry fruits, redcurrant, blackberry and strawberry with a hint of leather and vanilla. Soft and medium bodied, with succulent fruit flavour of forest fruits, wild strawberry and black currant, with extremely fine tannins.
Aromatic guava and orange blossom jump from the glass this Chenin Blanc is dry with hint of sweetness from the ripe apples, peaches and a hint of orange peel on the palate. The elegant crisp finish makes this a fantastic wine for all occasions.
