Free Delivery

We offer a free delivery of 12 bottles or more within Edinburgh and East Lothian all other deliveries out with this area use a national courier and are charged accordingly.

Delivery

We normally make the majority of all UK deliveries between 3 - 5 Days. However, some wines are stored in-bond and therefore may take a little longer to despatch; we will endeavour to deliver all orders within 7 - 10 days.

For delivery on a specific day (Monday - Friday only) - please specify in the "comments" box on the order page. Should you require delivery on a particular date, again please specify in the "comments" box on the order page. Delivery on a specified date is not always possible but we will aim to fulfil your request.

Orders will not be left unless the carrier can obtain a signature or we have specific instructions of where the consignment can be safely left (please use the "comments" box).

If the delivery cannot be made a card will be left with a phone number so this can be arranged for another delivery day.

We can also deliver to work addresses if this is more convenient.

We do not normally deliver on weekends or UK National holidays, except by special arrangement.

Returns

On a rare occasion that a wine is corked or faulty we will gladly offer a replacement or credit you on the return of the bottle in question.

Breakages/short deliveries

Please inform the carriers of any breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. Claims for these are required by post, or e-mail within three working days of delivery.

We accept payments by Visa, Mastercard, Electron, Delta, Maestro, Solo & American Express. Credit cards are charged to time of placing order via this website.

Our ordering system is secure for credit/debit card transactions (using SSL) and fully automated with shopping basket facilities. It is completely safe to send credit card information to The Fine Wine Company Limited via the internet. We do not store credit/debit card details on our server for security reasons. All data is submitted via universally accepted, secure encryption techniques.

We use the best encryption systems available to ensure your credit card details are secure, all Credit & Debit cards are authorised by Protx. Protx are an intermediate party who provide secure on-line payments and are approved with the majority of UK acquiring banks.
